Juicer For Sale
So far I have made two smoothies in my Nutribullet. Now that I know how easy it is to use, you'd think I'd be blasting away every day. The first one I made was a total bleeh. It looked like green swamp water and tasted even worse (not that I go around drinking swamp water, but I can imagine). I had a few sips, and poured the rest of it down the drain. The second one was delicious. Well of course it was because I had some things in it that were not on the "approved" list and contained no greens. What it did have in it was a delicious fruit salad that my niece made for Easter dinner. It was full of every kind of fruit you can think of including bananas, which I normally do not like, grapes, pineapple, apples, oranges, etc. etc.. I then added Greek vanilla yogurt and a little orange juice. It was so good even Tom liked it.
I am now looking for a lost recipe that had cucumber and coconut milk and some other stuff in it. I have a feeling in order to really get the most out of this Nutribullet habit, I'll be going to the health food stores and produce sections on a daily basis to get the freshest greens and fruits I can find. I also have read that I should be using various nuts and seeds that are not readily available at Giant. I'll probably end up spending a bloody fortune, but what price health?
It seems every book or article I pick up on how to live healthy has conflicting information. I guess you just have to see what works best for you and cross your fingers that it's doing your body some good.
In the meantime, I do recommend the Nutribullet. It's easy to use and best of all easy to clean. So...would anybody like to buy a barely used juicer? It did the job, but it was taking up too much room and I found that I rarely used it. I'm willing to part with it for next to nothing. Anyone????
